Many modern servers don't come with an optical media drive, including NAS servers such as the Dell R410. Installing from a USB stick may work, but some Windows installations fail with 'No CD/DVD driver present' warnings. At this point, you can either slipstream a custom install with the drivers, or just boot and install with your iDRAC card. Here's how.
9 Steps totalStep 1: Configure iDRAC
On the server, configure the DRAC with an IP address, netmask, username and password. You can do this by pressing ctrl+e during the bootup phase when indicated.
Step 2: Insert or mount install media to your workstation.
If all you have is the .iso, then mount it to your workstation as a virtual drive. If you have the CD/DVD, insert it - though installing via .iso will be much faster so consider making an .iso file and mounting that as virtual media.

---May be slightly different depending on your version if iDRAC---
This step requires Java to be installed on your workstation.
Before turning your server on (but after configuring your DRAC card and plugging in your DRAC to the network), open a web browser (Firefox is the only one I could get to work properly), and point it to the IP address of your DRAC. Once logged into your DRAC, go to 'Console/Media' (at the top) > 'Launch Virtual Console' (button).
Step 4: Attach Virtaul Media
This step allows you to pass media (ISO, CD, DVD other bootable devices...) from your workstation to your server.
Consol/Media Tab > Configuration > Virtual Media > Status > Attach
Press 'Apply' button
Step 5: Mount your workstation's CD drive to the server
---May be slightly different depending on your version if iDRAC---
Click on 'virtual media' > 'launch virtual media' > A new window opens up.
Click Add Image > Select your ISO (or CD/DVD install media) file > Put a check mark in the 'Mapped' check box on the device you wish to use.
Step 6: Turn on server
Power > Power On System
You may get a message saying 'You are about to execute a server control action. Are you sure you want to continue?' Select OK.
Step 7: Set Boot Order
In order to boot from Virtual Media, press F11 to select boot menu. Wait 11 months for Dell server to perform start up tasks...........
Step 8: Select Boot Device
Once presented with the boot menu, select 'Virtual CD'
Step 9: Install
Install your OS as if you would be standing at the console with the Disk in the drive.
Dell's iDRAC and other server vendors (Such as HP's iLO) allow you to seamlessly manage a remote server from installing the OS to post installation maintenance. Using the iDRAC method of installing, you are not limited in your OS installation choices. You can install Windows, Linux, ESX, etc... on your remote servers easily without ever leaving your bathroom!
